Vocational Education Agent Information

1. Purpose

This document provides information for education agents who recruit students for vocational education and training (VET) programs delivered by [RTO Name]. It outlines agent responsibilities, compliance expectations, and approved recruitment practices.

2. About the RTO


Australian Leading Institute of Technology  is a nationally recognised training organisation delivering vocational education and training across approved qualifications and states of operation.

Training Areas May Include:

  1. Community Services (CHC)
  2. Business Services (BSB)
  3. Information & Communications Technology (ICT)
  4. Security Operations (CPP)
  5. SIT

Delivery is subject to regulatory approval and course availability in NSW and Victoria.


3. Role of Vocational Education Agents


Education agents act as representatives of ALIT and are expected to:

  1. Provide accurate, current, and ethical information to prospective students
  2. Promote only approved courses and intakes
  3. Ensure students understand entry requirements, fees, and course obligations

Act in accordance with:

ESOS Act & National Code (if applicable)

ASQA Standards for RTOs

Australian Consumer Law

Refrain from making misleading or deceptive claims


4. Approved Courses & Promotion


Agents may promote only courses that are:


  • Approved by Australian Leading Institute of Technology

  • Listed in the current course register
  • Supported by official marketing materials

Agents must not promote:


  • Unapproved courses or delivery locations
  • Guaranteed outcomes (employment, migration, or course completion)
  • Discounts or scholarships without written approval

5. Entry Requirements (General Guidance)

Applicants must typically:

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have completed secondary education or equivalent
  • Meet English language requirements (where applicable)
  • Meet any course-specific prerequisites (e.g. prior qualifications or experience)
  • Final assessment of eligibility is conducted by [RTO Name], not the agent.

6. Fees, Charges & Scholarships


Tuition fees are determined by ALIT

Agents must use official fee schedules only


Scholarships:


Are limited and discretionary

Offered as partial tuition fee reductions

Are not guaranteed and subject to approval


Agents must not:


Guarantee scholarship approval

Advertise unapproved fee reductions

Link scholarships to visa, PR, or employment outcomes

7. Application & Enrolment Process


  • Agent submits a complete student application with required documents
  • ALIT  assesses academic, English, and compliance requirements
  • Offer Letter issued (if approved)
  • Student accepts offer and meets payment conditions
  • Enrolment is confirmed
  • Incomplete or misleading applications may be declined.

8. Student Obligations (Agents Must Explain)


Agents must clearly explain to students:

  • Attendance requirements
  • Course progress expectations
  • Assessment requirements
  • Visa conditions (if applicable)
  • Consequences of non-compliance

9. Marketing & Advertising Rules for Agents


Agents must:


  • Use approved marketing materials
  • Obtain approval before publishing custom advertisements
  • Represent course information truthfully

Prohibited Statements Include:


“Guaranteed job”

“Easy PR / migration pathway”

“No attendance required”

“Fast-track visa outcomes”


10. Monitoring & Agent Compliance


ALIT  monitors agent activity through:

  • Application quality reviews
  • Student feedback
  • Compliance audits
  • Marketing material checks
  • Non-compliance may result in:
  • Corrective action
  • Suspension
  • Termination of agent agreement

11. Agent Agreement & Commission

  • Commission arrangements are governed by a formal Agent Agreement
  • Commissions are payable only for successful and compliant enrolments
  • Breaches of policy or legislation may result in forfeiture of commission
